(MENAFN- Morocco World News) ;">New York – A surveillance footage clip narrated by a French police officer shows the moment in which a thief turned into the only savior of his own victim who fell down the Paris metro train tracks.
The video was broadcast by France5 on December 8 as part of a documentary titled 'Non-Assistance to Persons in Danger'. In the footage a thief approaches a young man sitting at the station who seems to be sleeping and after picking his pockets he leaves immediately. Another metro passenger arrives at the station awaiting the next subway. He notices the victim who stands up holding his arms while walking in a state of confusion or illness toward the metro tracks. The passenger watches the man plunge into the tracks and does absolutely nothing to aid the victim. The incident does not elicit any reaction from the passenger; he keeps his hands in his pockets and does not even bother to call security to stop the metro from running over or electrocuting the victim. Meanwhile footage from another surveillance camera shows the same thief who robbed the victim running next to the metro to alert the driver to stop and to assist his victim who lies on the tracks. As the metro stopped the thief able to help the young man he had previously robbed while the other passenger watches and simply boards the metro as if nothing had occurred. Thanks to the human nature of the thief who turned into a compassionate person the victim was saved from suffering a terrible death. Authorities said that the victim suffered only minor injuries from his fall.
