KSA posts 2.3 percent rise in cost of living over Nov


(MENAFN) The cost of living in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased by 2.3 percent in November as opposed to the same month in the previous year, according to the latest reports.

The jump was mainly on the back of the rise seen by 11 main elements of the index topped by education, logging a rise of 5.4 percent, followed by clothing, which rose by 5.1 percent.

Housing, water, electricity, and gas and other fuels climbed by 4.4 percent, followed by health by 2.5 percent, furnishing and equipment home and maintenance department by 2 percent.

In more detail, the general cost of living index in the Kingdom stood at 134.4 points in Nov-2015, up from 134.3 in Ovt-2014, based on the Department of Statistics and Information's data.
