Qatar- Palestine Prime Minister Meets US Official


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ramallah December 13 (QNA) - Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah met here on Sunday with US State Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration Simon Henshaw.
During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various field Palestine news agency Wafa reported.
Meanwhile Simon Henshaw said the United States would provide $123 million to support Palestinian refugees and UNRWA during an inauguration of the new UNRWA school in Ein Arik.
Valued at US$123 million the grant is considered the first payment of total US allocations to help cover the needs of UNRWA in 2016. The coverage includes students’ books teachers doctors and medicines.
The grant will aid 5.2 million Palestinians who live not only in West Bank and Gaza Strip but in the entire region. (QNA)
