Oman Cricket match: MDC Enhance Eagles trounces Ooredoo A by six wickets

MDC Enhance Eagles all-round performance helped the team record a convincing six-wicket win over Ooredoo A in an Oman Cricket A division match at the Municipality ground in Al Amerat on Friday.

Batting first Ooredoo A was restricted to 192 for nine in 30 overs. Melwin Mathew top-scored with 80. Parameswaran and Ikthiar Kazmi claimed three and two wickets. In reply MDC Enhance Eagles achieved victory in 23.1 overs scoring 193 for four.

Ivan Manjila and Khalid Latif were the main run-getters with 80 and 51 respectively. Sunil Baby and Nowfal shared the wickets.

Brief scores: Ooredoo A 192 for nine in 30 overs (Melwin 80; Parameswaran 3-30) lost to MDC Enhance Eagles 193 for four in 23.1 overs (Ivan 80 Khalid 51). In another A division match Renaissance defeated HJB by two wickets at the Municipality Two ground in Al Amerat on Friday.

Batting first HJB was bowled out for 206 in 28.5 overs with Umair Naieem top scoring with 81. Ibn Eameen and Waruna Sajith claimed three wickets each. In reply Renaissance scored 207 for eight in 29.1 overs. Asmeer and Eameen scored 40 and 46 not out respectively.

Brief scores: HJB 206 all out in 28.5 overs (Umair Naieem 81; Eameen 3-37 Waruna 3-39) lost to Renaissance 207 for eight in 29.1 overs (Asmeer 40 Eameen 46 n.o.; Ahmed Khan 2-37).

D division: Al Meer 177 for six in 20 overs (Yogendra 65 Sanket 37; Rajesh Rao 3-31) lost to Attic Outdoors 178 for seven in 18.1 overs (Qasim Ali 82; Kiran 4-28).
