Indonesia, Iran to explore new paths to tighten trade ties


(MENAFN) Iran and Indonesia are keen to broaden mutual cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic sectors, according to the latest reports.

Additionally, In April, Iranian and Indonesian presidents discussed various avenues for further consolidation of relations between the two nations.

Moreover, Jakarta is currently in talks with Tehran on a long-term oil supply deal to meet rising demand for crude as the country is growing its refineries.

"Iran and Indonesia are brothers but we should make efforts to define common interests alongside the friendship," said the Indonesian deputy foreign minister.
