RAS AL-KHAIMAH 13th December 2015 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah has commended the great progress and development of Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE thanks to the support and care of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces which has helped to achieve a number of gold medals in tournaments and competitions at both the Asian and global levels.

This came during H.H. Sheikh Saud's meeting with the organising committee of the Ras al-Khaima Jiu Jitsu Open Championship which is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah.

The Ras Al Khaimah Ruler praised the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation strategy in spreading the game and expanding the participation base by including sports centres and clubs from all the Emirates to discover talent to support the Jiu-Jitsu national team.

H.H. Sheikh Saud also emphasised the importance of taking advantage of global expertise in the development of Jiu-Jitsu in the country.
