Qatar- QU faculty members present cancer research papers

DOHA: Four faculty members of Qatar University (QU) recently presented their research at the fifth annual meeting of the Middle East Association for Cancer Research (MEACR) held in Turkey.

The conference which the QU College of Medicine co-organised with Gaziantep University (GAU) was named “Cancer Disease from Basic Science to Clinic.” It brought together clinicians and cancer scientists in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and around the world to share their research on human cancers. QU’s Dean of the College of Pharmacy Prof Ayman O El-Kadi discussed the ‘Natural aryl hydrocarbon receptor antagonists as potential therapeutic modalities against cancer.’

The conference brought presenters and researchers from Qatar Turkey Pakistan Iran Jordan Egypt Morocco and Tunisia in addition to the USA and Canada. Fifty graduate students from MENA region were among the participants.
