Jordanian Sudanese contractors to activate training agreement


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Khartoum Dec. 12 (Petra) -- The Jordanian Construction Contractors Association (JCCA) and the Sudanese Contractors Association on Saturday agreed on revisiting a training agreement the two sides signed a year ago but has not been activated since then.

The two sides agreed to form an ad-hoc committee explore ways of putting the deal into effect. The two sides also agreed to lay out a training scheme under which Jordanian engineers and technicians shall provide training to Sudanese peers in the field of construction technical support.

"We came to participate in Sudan's forum on infrastructure and construction projects and for training purposes" said Marouf Ghananim who led a JCCA's delegation that visit Sudan to look into ways to cementing cooperation with the Sudanese side.

Secretary General of the Sudanese contractors association Nhairi Mahdi said he hopes that the training agreement serves as a start for further cooperation between the two sides noting the training courses which will be conducted by Jordanian contractors on the sidelines of the infrastructure and constructions forum which will kick off on Monday in the Sudanese capital Khartoum .
