(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Rome December 11 (QNA) - The secretary general of Palestine Liberation Organization Saeb Erekat met Friday in Rome with Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
Erekat briefed the Italian minister on developments in the Palestinian territories in light of continuing Israeli escalation Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
Erekat hailed the EU decision to label products manufactured in settlements calling on European countries to recognize a Palestinian state based on June 4 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He blamed Israel for the collapse of the peace process as a result of its rejection of the two-state solution based on the 1967 borders and its continued settlement activity and imposing facts on the ground. (QNA)
