UN to cut global growth at 2.4 percent


(MENAFN) The United Nations will cut its predict for international economic growth in this current year by 0.4 percentage point to 2.4 percent.

Moreover, this cut will be due to lower product prices, increased market instability and slow growth in rising market economics.

"The world economy is projected to grow by 2.9 per cent in 2016 and 3.2 per cent in 2017, supported by generally less restrictive fiscal and still accommodative monetary policy stances worldwide," said the UN.

Accordingly, in Oct the UN had cut its global growth forecast for this year by 0.2 percentage point to 3.1 percent.
