Jordan made a lot at UNSC says envoy


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) New York Dec. 11 (Petra) -- Jordan's Permanent Representative to the UN Dina Kawar said she was privileged to represent Jordan and the Arab states at the UN Security Council while noting the Kingdom's achievements during its two-year membership of the Council.

In an interview with the UN Radio Kawar spoke about the Kingdom's achievements which focused on preserving heritage protecting youths fighting terrorism as well as the situation developments in Syria and Palestine.

The UN resolution on youths Kawar said was a historical and a first-of-its-kind while noting that Jordan was the driving force behind this resolution.

On Syria Kawar said that Jordan focused on the humanitarian side of the crisis and drafted three-related resolutions noting that a fourth resolution would be drafted soon.

The Jordanian envoy also spoke about the Kingdom's efforts on the situation in Yemen Palestine and heritage protection.
