Saudi- Guatemala presents formal accusation against ex president


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) GUATEMALA CITY Safar 28 1437 December 10 2015 SPA -- Guatemalan prosecutors have presented a formal accusation against former President Otto Perez Molina who resigned this year amid a sprawling corruption scandal according to AP.
Prosecutor Francisco Sandoval says Perez Molina is suspected of illicit association customs fraud and bribery.
Sandoval said Wednesday that the investigation has reached its conclusion.
Perez Molina resigned as president Sept. 4 after prosecutors and a U.N. commission investigating corruption in Guatemala alleged that he was part of a multimillion-dollar graft ring.
His former vice president Roxana Baldetti is also in prison facing charges. Both deny any wrongdoing.
