60 healthcare centers in Kuwait built on voluntary partnership concept

AMMAN Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Nearly 60 local healthcare centers were built in Kuwait based on the concept of "voluntary partnership" that has been engraved within the society a Kuwaiti researcher in the field of social responsibility Dr. Aroob Al-Sayyed Al-Rifae said on Wednesday.
Al-Rifae made this remark to KUNA at the conclusion of the 14th Arab Conference for Modern Trends in Hospital Management that was held in Amman from December 6 to 8.
The conference focused on the importance of partnerships between public and private sectors in sustaining healthcare services.
Al-Rifae presented a worksheet at the event that highlighted voluntary partnership that begun in Kuwait in 1981 between public and private sectors away from any commercial gain.
Good doers and some private companies have worked together to support healthcare services in the country by building nearly 60 healthcare centers at a value of KD 150 million.
Voluntary partnership she explained stems from embedded sense of patriotism and humanity that has a sole purpose of serving the people without getting anything in return.
The conference tackled strategic approaches to hospital management between private and public sectors and discussed healthcare funding and expenses for sustainable healthcare services in the Arab world. (end) mjb.nfm
