Qatar- Ministry's events at Darb Al Saai


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Economy and Commerce will take part in National Day celebrations by holding a variety of events and activities at Darb Al Saai until December 20.

The ministry's programme will feature several interactive activities, competitions and events targeting all age groups. The activities will take place in the morning and in the evening at the ministry's pavilion at Darb Al Saai which has been divided into three main stations; a trade station, a consumer station and an economy station
A series of lectures titled "read - compare - decide" designed to raise awareness among the public about consumer rights, sound consumption habits and positive shopping practices will be presented.

Furthermore, a workshop will be held to familiarise the public with the role that field inspectors play in fighting commercial fraud. Original and counterfeit goods will be displayed to demonstrate to the public how to distinguish between them.

Officials from the ministry will also acquaint visitors with the young merchant programme, which was developed by the ministry to promote trade and investment planning and to encourage future investment projects by providing information and advice to all age groups including children.

Tariq al- Sada, director of Public Relations and Communications at the ministry, noted that the ministry is keen on celebrating such a special occasion, one that is deeply cherished by the people of Qatar, elaborating that the ministry will contribute by offering a variety of activities at Darb Al Saai, a leading site in hosting National Day events.
