Kuwait- GCCJPPI chief stresses importance of participating in GCC summit

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Director of the GCC Joint Program Production Institutions (GCCJPPI) Ali Al-Rayyes said here on Wednesday that his institution is keen on being present in the GCC summits stemming from its responsibility in strengthening the cohesion of Gulf joint work and boosting the joint GCC march.Al-Rayyes told KUNA at the media center of the 36th GCC summit that the Kuwait-based institution is a form of GCC joint action in the field of information which fall under the umbrella of the GCC General Secretariat.He added that the institution was keen to participate in the exhibition in s pavilion containing publications brochures films documentaries television and radio programs as well as awareness flashes.He explained that all the displayed brochures aim to serve the Gulf community and work to revive the heritage customs and traditions of the Gulf and highlight the ideals of the Islamic religion as well as to encourage the emerging of Gulf talent in various fields of arts literature and science.He said that the participation of the institution in the GCC summit events in Riyadh also aims to shed media light on all the meetings events activities exhibitions and festivals keeping up with the efforts of other Gulf media organizations including news agencies external media sector radio and television.(end) jy.fs.tg
