Memphis TN - December 08 2015 - Excellent Roofing of Memphis Tennessee has received GAF's most prestigious contractor award: The GAF President's Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes Excellent Roofing as one of the “elite of the elite” residential roofing contractors in the United States.

GAF is North America's largest roofing manufacturer and only GAF Master Elite(R) Contractors can compete for its President's Club Award. To qualify for this award a contractor must demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in their business especially in the areas of Installation Excellence Consumer Protection and Installer Training.

Excellent Roofing has been a GAF Master Elite(R) Contractor since 2007. To become a Master Elite(R) Contractor - a status that less than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide have achieved - a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing and adequate insurance have a proven reputation and show commitment to ongoing professional training.

Homeowners getting new roofs in the Memphis area expect to see crews ladders and cranes at the job site but very few expect to see something that looks like a mini dumpster atop a giant auto jack on wheels. Excellent Roofing owns just such a device: the Roofer's Buggy. “We're the only contractor in the mid-South to have one” according to owner John Bennett. “It was specifically designed for removal of residential roofing debris. Homeowners' major concern is that landscaping will be protected during the roofing process and that no mess is made around the property. With the Roofer's Buggy our crews can deposit shingles and nails directly into a container that keeps the ground clean and free of debris. We take as much care in installing a new roof as we do in removing an old one.”

Such attention to detail is a daily occurrence at Excellent Roofing. “We believe that quality craftsmanship and design are critical to the installation of a successful roofing system” states Bennett. “We go beyond the basics and spend the necessary time to ensure that our customers have made the right selections with regard to style color accessories and warranties.”

Not restricted to roofing the company also offers gutter painting carpentry and skylight services. It installs roofs with various types of shingles as well as slate and metal roofs. Excellent Roofing is certified by multiple manufacturers.

Caring about its community the company works to recycle old roofing materials at E-Plex in Collierville Tennessee. Excellent Roofing has worked on numerous roofs for Habitat for Humanity and participates in GAF's Roofs for Troops promotion. The company holds an A+ accreditation with the Better Business Bureau is certified with Velux USA as a skylight and solar thermal specialist and is a multi-year winner of the Angie's List Super Service Award. New roofing customers may choose one of several promotions which include a solar attic fan a 5% discount per $1000 spent GAF's Golden Pledge(R) warranty blown-in attic insulation and a debris-protection system for gutters.

“Quality happens only when good people work with good material and are directed by people who care about quality” concludes Bennett. “We quote for premium roofing systems and include the things that other contractors omit. Our estimates are pretty much in the middle range. Customers can certainly pay more but they won't find a better job for the money. There's an old saying: ‘The bitterness of low quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.' We at Excellent Roofing agree with that. We encourage customers to let us put our experience to work for them.”
