Saudi- Search continues for missing workers on Azerbaijan oil platform
(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Moscow Safar 24 1437 December 06 2015 SPA -- The search continued Sunday for 30 missing workers
after a fire on an oil rig in the Caspian Sea owned by Azerbaijan's
state-owned SOCAR oil company as judicial authorities launched an
investigation into the cause of the blaze dpa reported.
There were indications that safety regulations had been violated a
judicial spokesman said in the capital Baku.
At least two people were killed and 32 workers were rescued from the
rig in the Guneshli oil field.
The fire is believed to have been caused when a gas line was damaged
in a powerful storm.
