348 ships to get through Suez Canal, with a rise of 8.75 percent


(MENAFN) Suez Canal was transited by 348 ships with a whole load of 19.680mn tones from Nov to Dec, with an increase of 8.75 percent.

Accordingly, 320 containers have transited the canal two weeks earlier, carrying a total load of 18,101mn tones.

Moreover, almost 50 ships transited the canal daily on average over last week, with an average weight of 2.8mn tones each day, compared to an average of 46 ships.

In addition, the number of ships that got through the new channel coming from the east was almost 193 ships, a daily average of 28 vessels.
