president Luis Chiriboga turned himself in to police Friday after an
arrest warrant was issued against him over the ongoing FIFA
corruption scandal dpa reported.
Chiriboga 69 who has been the federation's president since 1998 and
has not resigned so far will request house arrest considering his
age his lawyer Lucia Vallecilla said.
Ecuadorian authorities also issued arrest warrants against two other
FEF high officials and froze the bank accounts of the federation's
main bosses.
