(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)Hot small cap – Live Ventures soars after hinting at 'particularly successful' quarter Live Ventures Incorporated (NASDAQ:LIVE) a mobile based local marketing specialist got tongues wagging - and more significantly wallets opening - on Friday. In a brief stock market statement the company said it would release a 'special report' on December 10 to give investors highlights on its trading in the fourth quarter. Jon Isaac Live Ventures chief executive teased: 'Normally fourth quarter results are included only as part of a company's 10-K filing for the entire fiscal year.  'However we believe our results bear notice and we wish to update our stockholders on a particularly successful quarter.' The Nasdaq listed stock jumped more than 60% to trade at US$2.33 and was among the top trending small cap stocks on internet forums and social media. Relypsa rises amid Merck takeover speculation Shares in Relypsa (NYSE:RLYP) advanced around 16% amid speculation it was the latest biotech being lined up for a takeover. It comes as a Street Insider report citing an unnamed source that's said to have direct knowledge of the situation claimed Merck & Co (NYSE:MRK) was planning to make a non-binding offer to acquire the company. The potential deal value was not suggested in the report. Relypsa specialises in polymer-based medicines and is focussed on what is describes as 'conditions that are often overlooked and undertreated'.  Prior to today's trading the NYSE stock was worth about US$900mln and having risen US$3.59 or 16.2% per share was valued at nearly US$1.1bn. Friday's top risers World Poker Fund Holdings (OTCMKTS:WPFH) surged 23% to $1.66 after the developer of poker sponsorship tournaments agreed to acquire RealDeck for $15mln. NanoTech Entertainment (OTCMKTS:NTEK) gained 9.3% to $0.0059 after the provider of streaming TV experience said UltraFlix is now available for the Roku 4 streaming player. UltraFlix features a vast library of 4K content giving Roku 4 owners more options for finding 4K-quality video to stream whenever they want. ImageWare Systems (OTCMKTS:IWSY) advanced 6.2% to $1.20 after the provider of mobile and cloud-based multi-modal biometric identity management solutions and its partner Four Points Technology LLC announced an additional contract award to support The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Care Capital Properties (NYSE:CCP) increased 1.7% to $31.02 after the healthcare real estate investment trust said it has entered into a new master lease for 18 properties. Fallers Ekso Bionics (OTCMKTS:EKSO) fell 3.8% to $1.26 after agreeing to acquire gravity balancing arm technologies developed by the inventor of SteadiCam. Aoxing Pharma (NYSEMKT:AXN) fell 1.7% to $1.13 even as the specialty pharmaceutical company operating in China announced the inauguration of its new Narcotic and Psychotropic Drug Research Center.  Separately Aoxing said Wilfred Chow resigned from his position as chief financial officer and that Guoan Zhang the company's senior vice president for finance will assume the position.
