Kuwait- 'Recovering' stolen funds


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Public Authority for Social Security (PASS) has asked the Swiss Public Prosecutor to consider PASS as an aggrieved party in the court case against the former director of PASS Fahad Al-Raja'an, said at a parliamentary session Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh.

There is a commitment from the Kuwaiti Public Prosecution to pursue the matter of recouping public funds from the runaway former director of PASS, in concert with the Fatwa and Legislation Department which has been entrusted by the government to retrieve these stolen public funds, said Al-Saleh. He added that PASS has been instructed to provide the Fatwa and Legislation Dept with all documents necessary and to contact attorneys' offices abroad to pursue lawsuits against Al-Raja'an for the purpose of recovering stolen public funds from him.
