Qatar Chamber offers support to SA investors


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Trade and economic relations and ways to develop them especially in fields of agriculture, industry and food security were discussed yesterday between a South African business delegation and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Qatar Chamber).
Qatar Chamber deputy president Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al-Kuwari said the African continent is promising from an investment point of view and is attracting investors from all over the world. "The visit by the South African delegation would pave the road for future co-operation prospects."
He said that Qatar Chamber would extend support to South African companies in entering the Qatari market to establish partnerships with local businesses, adding that Qatar Chamber encourages Qatari businessmen to explore available opportunities, particularly in the fields of construction, food processing, agricultural investment and others.
Al-Kuwari said investment opportunities are available in the Qatari market, especially that the state is implementing major projects to develop the infrastructure in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, pointing out that opportunities are available for businessmen from both sides to build partnerships and benefit from the attractive climate in both Qatar and South Africa.
Recardo Andrews, director, International Trade and Investment Operating Unit in South Africa, explained the opportunities available in South Africa which make it a state with an appropriate climate for all
investors.
