S. Korea's renewable energy use lowest in OECD


(MENAFN) S. Korea rated last among members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the use of renewable energy to increase its economy in 2014.

Accordingly, Asia's fourth-hugest economy got only 1.1 percent of its energy from renewable sources like solar, wind, tidal and hydropower generation.

Moreover; the number sited the nation last between the 34 developed market economics with better income, and it is way below the OECD average of 9.2 percent.

However, S. Korea's number was strikingly lower than Luxembourg that ranked 33rd on the list at 4.4 percent.
