Qatar- German Cabinet Approves Military Mission against ISIS in Syria


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Berlin December 01 (QNA) - The German's cabinet approved on Tuesday the German military's joining the fight against the ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

The government is planning to send 1200 German troops as part of the mission which includes deploying Tornado fighter jets a warship as well as an aircraft for refueling combat jets and satellite reconnaissance.

The frigate is expected to provide back up to the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle which has already been sent to the eastern Mediterranean as part of the international anti-ISIS coalition.

Berlin's decision to join the coalition comes in the wake of the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris which killed 130 people.ISIS group claimed responsibility for the attacks. (QNA)
