UAE- Pakistan aiming to salvage some pride

Pakistan will be looking to end their five-match losing streak in limited-overs cricket when they entertain England in the third and final Twenty20 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium tonight.

The hosts last tasted success on this tour with a six-wicket win in the first ODI back on November 11 with Eoin Morgan's men prevailing in the next three ODIs thereafter and two subsequent T20 tussles.

Those back-to-back defeats in Dubai last week mean Shahid Afridi's side can no longer salvage this best-of-three series and thus make amends for the prior 3-1 loss in the 50-over format.

The pre-match toss of the coin could well be absolutely vital to Pakistan's chances. Afridi and Co struggled to chase 160-5 first time around at Dubai International Stadium and although they fared slightly better at the second attempt they still came out narrowly on the wrong side of the result.

Pakistan's batsmen have seemingly struggled under the weight of a run chase so it will be interesting to see how they perform if they are given the opportunity to post an initial tally for the tourists to set off after. That scenario would appear to suit more some of the country's more flamboyant cricketing characters like Afridi who looked back to his best on Friday when returning economical figures of 3-15 and smashing an eight-ball 24.
