(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The government, on Monday, decided to lower the prices of main oil derivatives as of Tuesday, December 1.
Under the decision taken by the government's pricing committee, one litre of unleaded 90-octane gasoline is now being sold at JD0.535, down from JD0.555, while one litre of 95-octane costs JD0.700 compared to JD720 last month.
Both diesel and kerosene prices went down to JD0.400 from JD0.410 in November.
The price of cooking gas, which is also used by households for heating purposes, went up to reach JD7.50 per cylinder, compared to JD7 last month.
Fuel prices, except those of gas cylinders, are no longer subsidized by the government, which lifted oil subsidies in November 2012.
A government pricing committee meets monthly to adjust prices in a manner that corresponds to changes on the international market.
