Qatar- School students pay tributes to Kalam

DOHA: Students of Indian schools in Doha participated in an interactive session with Srijan Pal Singh author entrepreneur scientist and former adviser to late Indian President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.

The event was hosted by Science India Forum Qatar (SIFQ) to mark the grand finale ‘Shastrayaan 2015’ a tribute to Dr Kalam.

Manoj Pillai Chairman SIFQ welcomed the gathering and carried them through the year-long journey of Shastrayaan 2015.

Indian Ambassador Sanjiv Arora was Chief Guest.

Winners of competitions were felicitated. A souvenir to commemorate the event was released as a tribute to the ‘Jewel of India’.

Advantage India a book by Dr Kalam co-authored by Singh was presented to Arora.

Nandakumar Coordinator science India forums in the GCC A K Srivastava Balasubramanium Sateesh Pillai V S Narayanan and K A Gopal were present.
