Iran's foreign trade reaches 56.939 billion

Tehran: Iranian Customs Department has said the country's foreign trade volume reached US $56.939 Billion during the first eight months of Iranian year which begins March 21.

State news agency Fars said the volume of imports reached $27.307 Billion down 20.95% compared to the same period in 2014.

China and the United Arab Emirates South Korea Turkey and Switzerland respectively were the major exporters of goods to Iran.

Iran's volume of exports reached $29.632 Billion down 10.48% from the same period last year. China Iraq United Arab Emirates India and Afghanistan in order were major importers of Iranian goods the report said.
