China's electricity system to reform

(MENAFN) China is taking big step in electricity sector reforms covering everything from pricing to setting up a general electricity futures market.

Accordingly, the new pricing system, which was piloted in Shenzhen and Inner Mongolia this year, will be exceeded to Anhui, Hubei, Yunnan, and Guizhou provinces.

Moreover, this system aims to profit power users, set up a cost-saving mechanism for power network enterprises and support the marketization of electricity.

In addition, China will set up electricity trading bodies that are " fairly independent" to profit interprovincial trade.
