Five Killed in Two Suicide Bombings in North Cameroon


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Five people were killed on Saturday in two suicide explosions carried out by two females in the town of Dabanga in the far north of Cameroon.

"Two women blew themselves up in the town of Dabanga, the governor of the far northern region Midjiyawa Bakary said, adding "The initial death toll is seven dead, including the two suicide bombers." Two soldiers were also seriously injured in the attack.

The first suicide bomber detonated her explosive belt in a house while the second blew herself up near a welding shop, the governor said.

Last week, four females blew themselves up near Fotokol, killing five civilians, including a local leader.
