Oman- Rise in passenger traffic at Muscat airport

Passenger traffic has registered growth at Muscat airport till October 2015 compared to the same period in 2014.

The total passenger traffic including transit and transfers through Muscat International Airport has increased by 16 per cent to 8466973 until October this year compared to 7312502 in 2014.

Statistics show an increase of 17 per cent in arrivals to 4274669 until October this year compared to 3662932 in the same period last year. The number of departing passengers has also increased by 15 per cent to 4164817 until October this year compared to 3619774 in the same period last year.

The increase in arrivals and departures is attributed to more number of flights operated by airlines such as Kuwait Airways Ethiopian Airlines and Oman Air.
