Emirates Fine Arts Society cooperates with Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority in the 34th edition of its annual exhibition

SHARJAH 29th November 2015 (WAM) -- The Emirates Fine Arts Society has announced its cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority in the 34th edition of its annual exhibition held under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah at the Sharjah Art Museum next January.

The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority will display an important part of the "Noah's Ark" exhibition at Manarat Al Saadiyat in the Saadiyat Cultural District which will exhibit a collection of participating artists' artwork. This comes as a big step in establishing cooperation and coordination between parties and institutions involved in the Emirati fine arts movement in order for them to carry out their assigned role in bolstering the cultural movement within the country.

This collaboration falls under government institutions' support of cultural programs and events that take on a leading role in the country as the General Exhibition of Emirates Fine Arts Society is considered one of the oldest in the nation having started at the time of the society's establishment in 1980.

Nasser Abdullah Chairman of the Emirates Fine Arts Society expressed his thanks to the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority for its support of the exhibition's current session and hopes to see this collaboration continue on as it carries a great importance in the promotion of the movement of fine arts in the nation.

Abdullah added that the exhibition's current session and its title "Noah's Ark" which is managed by curator and artist Mohammed Al Mazrouei is based on the idea of the close links that bind art and society. It holds up the principles of forgiveness moderation and cultural dialogue all of which the United Arab Emirates upholds as it hosts over 200 nationalities something that makes it an example to be followed by others.
