Turkish army kills two PKK militants SE Turkey


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Turkish army announced Saturday two Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members were killed and two others arrested after they launched assaults by rifles and rocket-propelled grenades at security forces in southeast Hakkari province.
Security forces carried out operations in the province to remove barriers and destroy tunnels dug by PKK militants, Army General Staff said in a statement, noting that security forces were attacked by the militants.
Meanwhile, a PKK militant was killed and two others arrested in the province of Mardin, it added.
Turkish security forces continue its security operations started two days ago in eight provinces to evacuate them from PKK militants.
