Saudi- Incentive for border health workers
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: The director of the Health Department in Jazan Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sahli has said that the Health Ministry will pay SR20 million to workers at hospitals in the southern borders pointing out that these incentives had been promised by the ministry to workers who continue to work there.
'The Health Department in Jazan provides all health services and treatment to injured soldiers. All hospitals in the region especially hospitals near the borders are ready to deal with all cases of injury. At the same time the heath authorities in the region transfer medical cases which require surgical intervention to King Fahd Central Hospital or other specialized hospitals for necessary treatment' he added.
Ministry of Health facilities in the southern region continue to provide therapeutic and emergency services and are ready to work round the clock to deal with any emergency. There are some 60 hospitals in the Asir Najran and Jazan regions with 6500 beds. All are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Minister of Health Khalid Al-Falih confirmed that his ministry has made all arrangements needed for the emergency plan due to ongoing operations against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. He also said that the facilities and services would operate on a 24/7 basis.
