Oman to inaugurate its largest paint plant in Dec

(MENAFN) Oman's biggest paint factory, set up by Berger Paints India Limited in Sohar, which is the second largest paint company in India, will be officially launched in December, based on recent reports.

Additionally, the new factory will be the second plant of Berger Paints in Oman, which forayed into the Sultanate in 2000 as part of a mutual venture between the Al Hassan Group and the Indian top firm.

The new facility is spread over an area of 50,000 sqm and has a much higher capacity than the 1st plant in Ghala, which produces a wide range of products that primarily include architectural coatings.

"We have grown and nurtured in the last 15 years thanks to growth and in Oman. We have reached a stage, where we feel that we do not have enough capacity," said the GM of the firm's Middle East division.
