Kuwait- Belgium to probe radicalisation of people of foreign descent


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Belgium's government has created a special task force to look into the radicalisation of people of foreign descent in Belgium local media reported Thursday.The focus will not only be on asylum seekers but all people in Belgium of foreign heritage. Incidents linked to radicalisation and immigration will be examined too news network VRT reported.The screening of asylum seekers will be stepped up and awareness training will be organised for all asylum services in consultation with the intelligence services.The task force will include representatives of the ministers of justice the interior defence and asylum and migration.Meanwhile life in Brussels is returning to its normal routine as schools reopened and some metro lines though not all have started functioning. However the highest terror threat level of 4 will remain in force till next Monday.The Belgian government raised the threat level last Saturday due to fear of an imminent terrorist attack in Brussels similar to the Paris attacks.Schools shopping centres and metro services were shut down and extra police and soldiers were deployed on the streets of the Belgian capital.Meanwhile Belgian defence minister Steven Vandeput told the Belgian parliament that cost of the deployment of soldiers on the streets of Brussels and other Belgian towns till the end of the year will be 17.9 million euro.
