Oman, Austria project 70 percent trade growth in 2015


(MENAFN) Oman's mutual business relations with Austria has been expanding and flourishing for a long time, therefore the bilateral trade growth has soared 70 percent in 2015, based on reports.

The trade numbers have already hit an all-time record of USD101m in 2014 reflecting a 27 percent growth from 2013, plus it has reached USD USD63.7 in this year's January-June timeframe.

Oman imports a number of products from Austria, which mainly include firefighting and special purpose vehicles for the airports in Oman, plus seamless pipes for Oman's oil and gas sector.

"This land has a lot of opportunities for business and trade and we are very eager to explore them further", stated the President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WKO).
