Davutoglu reveals program for new Turkey

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday announced the new government’s program.
Addressing the Grand National Assembly Davutoglu said the government would focus on reforms in six key areas - democratization and justice; education; public administration; public finance; changes in the “real economy”; and priority transformation programs.
Referring to the anticipated plans to change Turkey’s political system from parliamentary to presidential Davutoglu said the latter was a “more appropriate management model” for the “effective and dynamic management needed for the new Turkey vision”.
He added: “The 64th government will be a reform government to the backbone.”
Davutoglu announced his new Cabinet on Tuesday.
Parliament is scheduled to discuss the government program on Saturday with a vote of confidence on November 30.
