Thursday is a working day for schools, says SEC

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Thursday will be a normal working day for independent as well as private schools, in line with the 2015-16 academic year, the Supreme Education Council (SEC) said on Wednesday.

The SEC said working teams from the Education Authority and the Joint Services Department in co-operation with the Civil Defence, Kahramaa and Ashghal have reviewed the damage that happened at schools due to Wednesday's rains, adding that the necessary procedures will be taken to fix the damage to ensure that schools receive students as normal.

Only few schools will not be able to receive students on Thursday and study will be suspended there so that specialised working groups can do the required works and fix the damage caused by the rain, the SEC said, urging the public not to listen to rumours on suspension of study.
