Oman- Team from Bahrain declared winner of Injaz al Arab competition

The 3 Dots Company from Bahrain won the title of the 'High School Company of the Year' in the ninth regional Injaz al Arab competition held at Shangri-La's Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa in Muscat on Wednesday.

The event was held under the patronage of H H Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said and in the presence of Sheikh Khalid Muhammad al Zubair chairman Injaz Oman and Injaz al Arab's Board of Directors.

Electronic company from Morocco won the High School Product of the Year award and Drops from Saudi Arabia won the High School Company for Best Social Impact award.

Sheikh Zubair said 'Today is a lovely moment where we celebrate Injaz al Arab's ambitious entrepreneurs who have proven that they are looking towards the future with relentless passion and determination.'

He added 'We are still living in the high spirits of the sultanate's 45th National Day which acknowledges the nation's broad spectrum of achievements of which youth development is a very important part.

Therefore hosting this event acknowledging and praising the accomplishment of young people here in Oman forms a vibrant continuation of our ongoing festivities.'

As many as 14 teams took part in the competition. Student companies were assessed on their ability to demonstrate sound business insights financial knowledge marketing abilities and research skills. In addition the youth were required to showcase their products to the public. The teams also had to take part in question answer session.

The judging panel included business leaders and corporations from across the Middle East and North African (MENA) region.

The other winners included Use Forfeit from Morocco (University Company of the Year) and Pinnacle Inc from Tunisia (University Product of the Year).
