Qatar Venezuela sign several agreements


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Moros at the Presidential Palace in Caracas yesterday.

Caracas: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro Moros witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding at the Presidential Palace in the Venezuelan capital Caracas.

An agreement on exempting diplomatic and special passports from entry visa was signed between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

A cooperation agreement in the legal field was signed stipulating the exchange of expertise in the work sphere of the Ministry of Justice in both countries. Another cooperation agreement was signed in the field of air services.

A memorandum of understanding on sports and youth cooperation was signed stipulating cooperation in sports activities participation in workshops the exchange of coaches and sports specialists and cooperation in sports media.

The Emir and the Venezuelan President also witnessed the signing of a mutual administrative help agreement to properly implement the customs law between the government Qatar and the government of Venezuela.

They witnessed the signing of an understanding agreement between Qatar Central Bank and the Central Bank of Venezuela that aims to exchange information on the stability and development of the financial system between the two countries.

They also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce with the aim of working to develop trade exchange and economic cooperation between companies as well as establishing joint business councils.

A fraternity and twinning agreement was signed as well between the Doha Municipality and the Libertador Bolivarian Municipality in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Qatar Venezuela boost ties

DOHA: President Nicolas Maduro Moros of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has expressed his pleasure over the visit of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Venezuela.

The Venezuelan President expressed his pleasure confirming that the Emir’s visit is a step towards enhancing bilateral relations Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports from Venezuela’s capital Caracas.

In a joint statement with the Emir during the official reception held for the him at the Presidential Palace in Caracas yesterday the Venezuelan President said that Qatar and Venezuela have been partners in defending oil over the past years and now are partners in defending gas as well.

The Venezuelan President added that the Emir’s visit and the agreements signed between the two countries reflect that relations between the two countries are strong and well-entrenched and will flourish further in future especially with the spirit of love and solidarity that binds the two friendly nations. The Emir expressed his pleasure over his visit and stressed its importance in strengthening the relations between the two countries noting that this visit was his second within a year and that the meetings with the President during the year indicate the strength of relations between the two countries stressing that bilateral relations will be enhanced to higher and wider level especially after the signing of a number of agreements.

The Emir referred to mutual understanding of the Qatari and Venezuelan sides in many situations especially its stance towards the Arab people who want to live in freedom and with dignity.

The Emir praised Venezuela’s stand as regards the Palestinian issue and thanked the President for supporting the great cause.

In conclusion the Emir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Venezuelan President for his invitation wishing the Republic of Venezuela further progress and prosperity QNA said.
