UAE- Amal Al Qubaisi discusses parliamentary relations with Qatar

RIYADH 25th November 2015 (WAM) -- Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi Speaker of Federal National Council and Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi Speaker of the Qatari Advisory Council have discussed ways of strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations between the two bodies.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the 9th meeting of Councils and Houses of Shura Representatives and National of Gulf Cooperation Council member states hosted by Saudi Arabia's Shura Council today in Riyadh.

During the meeting Al Khulaifi congratulated Al Qubaisi on her election to the presidency of the Federal National Council stressing the importance of women's participation in leadership positions of political and parliamentary work.

Dr. Al Qubaisi stressed that the new assignment is the result of UAE's leadership support to women and its empowerment and help for women to exercise their roles in the public life of the UAE community.
