Egyptian gas yield falls to 4.15b in Nov


(MENAFN) Egypt's daily production level of natural gas dropped to 4.15 billion cubic feet, as opposed to 4.25bn cubic feet last month, taking in consideration that the nation's yield rate dips naturally by 1.2bn cubic feet per year.

Additionally, the overall losses of Egypt's production of gas are calculated at 500 million cubic feet per year, where total yield by the end of 2014 hit 4.65 billion cubic feet per day, from 4.15bn cubic feet at the time being.

However, the local production of gas will grow by 2017 with the start of connection between the wells of the North of Alexandria project and the Zahr field in the Mediterranean Sea, based on recent reports.

Moreover, the total quantity of natural gas production pumped into the domestic market is projected at 4.9bn cubic feet per day, which is divided into 4.15bn feet of domestic production and 750 million cubic feet imported gas.
