(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The eighth meeting of the professional and regulatory standards committee of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) kicked off in Doha today.
Hosted by Qatar Audit Bureau, the meeting will continue until 26 this month. The committee is seeking to adopt internationally recognized standards and aligning them with the Arab institutions' requirements to establish and develop appropriate professional standards as well as appropriate guide to support the implementation of these standards.
The committee is headed the representative of Kuwait Audit Bureau, and his deputy is the representative of the Qatar Audit Bureau. The agenda of the meeting includes a number of topics related to professional standards and guides in the field of regulatory work and quality control.
The committee's members are Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco and Yemen besides the ARABOSAI General Secretariat.
