Asian stock markets uneven


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Hong Kong Safar 12 1437 November 24 2015 SPA -- Asian stock markets dithered Tuesday as slumping commodity prices weighed on shares of resource companies AP reported.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 index recovered from early losses to rise 0.2 percent to 19924.89.71 after reopening following a public holiday. South Korea's Kospi climbed 0.6 percent to 2016.29. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 0.8 percent to 22486.95 and the Shanghai Composite Index in China fell 0.3 percent to 3598.34. Australia's S&P/ASX shed 1 percent to 5226.40. Benchmarks rose in Taiwan Singapore Thailand and Indonesia but fell in India and the Philippines.
