Kuwait- Kerry talks with Saudi and UAE counterparts on fighting terrorism


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI Nov 24 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State John Kerry held talks on Tuesday with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir and their UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on regional issues the official UAE news agency WAM said.WAM citing an official statement said the discussions among the trio dealt with efforts aimed at resuming the stalled Middle East peace process common combat against terrorism and extremism namely ISIL as well as other issues.The statement added that the three officials discussed "best ways to face the challenges threatening the GCC countries for sake of bolstering international peace and security as well as regional stability." Kerry is currently on a regional mission. He is due in Jerusalem and Ramallah shortly later for talks with top Israeli and Palestinian leaders on prospects of halting mounting violence in the occupied territories and resuming the peace talks between the Israelis and Palestinians.
