The inspectors at the Ministry of Labour (MoL) will find it easier and more coordinated in the future to go about their duties of inspecting labour sites thanks to the 'smart future inspection car'.

The smart inspection vehicle was displayed for the first time by the MoL to mark the Innovation Week as per the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan the President of the UAE to declare 2015 as year of innovation and after His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Khaled Alsaeedi Head Of Infrastructure MoL IT Department vehicle supervisor and designer said that the future car's smart integrated system which is connected to a central command room sends messages to inspectors about new duties on the smart display panel installed inside the vehicle with special maps of the specified labour locations.

He pointed out that the smart system helps labour inspectors organise daily duties by connecting to the central commands room which can connect them directly to their supervisors and report results on spot.

The smart system allows users to update current statuses immediately after the transition from one stage of inspection to another. It connects different users to deliberate new developments on the specified locations.

The central command room Alsaeedi added: "Follows up inspections carried out by the specialised teams since their deployment until the job finishes.

The central command room has direct contact with the inspectors at all times as well as full control over the smartly installed monitor and internal cameras." The future inspections vehicle is subject to a testing and revision phase to ensure the effectiveness of its performance before officially launching it. The car is also equipped with a 'smart drone' which can be deployed by the inspectors to monitor and record any labour activities on site.

The vehicle will be on display at the MoL's headquarters in Dubai throughout the Innovation Week.
