Qatar- Al Sada participates in 17th GECF meeting
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada along with other dignitaries at the 17th GECF meeting yesterday in Tehran.
Tehran: The 17th Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) began yesterday in the Iranian capital Tehran.
Qatar’s delegation to the meeting is led by Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada.
The meet was opened by Iran Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh with participation of Ministers of the Member States and observers of the Forum. The Forum includes in its membership each of Qatar the United Arab Emirates Algeria Egypt Libya Iran Bolivia Equatorial Guinea Nigeria Russia Trinidad and Venezuela as well as Iraq and Oman the Netherlands Norway Kazakhstan and Peru as Observers.
The ministerial meeting comes in preparation for the summit of the member states of the gas forum to be held in the Iranian capital tomorrow.
Qatar is scheduled to chair the 18th ministerial meeting in 2016.
