Jordan- PM receives Canadian ambassador


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Nov. 23 (Petra)--Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Monday discussed with Canadian Ambassador to Jordan Bruno Saccomani ways of forging closer ties between Jordan and Canada in various fields as well as issues pertaining to Syrian refugees in the Kingdom.

The ambassador said his country is committed to receiving 25000 Syrian refugees before the end of 2015 who are currently residing in Jordan Lebanon and Turkey.

Jordan he added will be the starting point for the refugees' journey to Canada as the Kingdom enjoys security and stability and is capable of handling the Syrian refugees' file.

According to the ambassador the cost of hosting those refugees in Canada stands at 1.2 billion Dollars.
