Indian healthcare delegation visits Oman

An eight-member delegation from Chennai in India recently concluded its two-day visit to the country seeking collaboration and cooperation with Omani healthcare institutions.

The delegation representing three hospitals in Chennai met representatives from the Ministry of Health (MoH) Oman Medical Association Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and private hospitals at the Indian Embassy.

The visit was organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). H E Dr Darwish al Muharbi Undersecretary for health in MoH said healthcare is a growing sector in the country. "Right now we are making great strides when it comes to healthcare. I think we have moved from primary healthcare to more specialised tertiary and advanced level.'

The delegation also attended the fourth GCC-India Forum organised by the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers in cooperation with the Council of Saudi Chambers the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CII on Thursday. Hilal al Hasani CEO of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates led Oman's delegation to the forum.
